ATC on Statistic Models for Ecological Conservation was held at Royal University of Phnom Penh (RUPP), Cambodia for Southeast Asia Partners from 09-13 October 2017. This course focused on training basic statistics on the technics for statistical tests (ANOVA, ANCOVA, Linear models…) and advanced statistics on multivariate statistics: automatic classification, ordination and prediction. All courses will be trained using R-software. The main aim of this ATC is to train the CONSEA partners to the advanced techniques for Ecological studies. This course was given by Prof. Sovan Lek from the Université Paul Sabatier, Toulouse III (UPS).  The course include:

  • Hypothesis testing
    • Comparison of 2 samples
      • Parametric t-test
      • Non parametric Mann-Whitney & Wilcoxon tests
    • Comparison of n samples
      • ANOVA
      • Kruskall-Wallis test
  • Linear models
    • Linear regression
    • Multi-linear regression
